Our vision consists of three parts:
- House of prayer = Praying for and with people
- House of bread =Giving education in the municipality
- House of family = Providing a safe place for people in the municipality.
“Our church is a place where people get to know Jesus, feel at home and secure and where everyone takes his place; where the Lord can work through his Holy Spirit and show his glory; where life and growth is to stand strong and united in the faith.”
Our vision is further based on 3 Bible verses, which form a common theme throughout our church life. These texts are also known as the Great Goal, the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. These three important messages gave Jesus his disciples when He was still with them on earth.
Specific vision of the Ark of the Covenant.
The Foundation of Christ has been revealed to the visionary of the congregation Ark of the Covenant, Reverend Melvin G. Heuvel. This study is based on the life of Jesus Christ, in which Matthew 5: 17, as a thread through this whole.
De Ark Des Verbonds heeft naast de globale visie ook een specifieke visie. Deze is gericht op Alkmaar en de omliggende gemeenten.
In addition to the global vision, the Ark Des Verbonds also has a specific vision. This is aimed at Alkmaar and the surrounding municipalities.
The vision is aimed at laying new foundations in Alkmaar and surroundings, in the near future. We believe that new churches will arise in the coming years.
The Ark of the Covenant wants to encourage people to be active in their own environment, including prayer and evangelism work. The Ark of the Covenant, will actively support these initiatives and, where necessary, plant a church.
The Great Goal (Matthew 5:17-18)
Think not that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have not come to dissolve, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Before the heavens and the earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall perish from the law, until all is fulfilled.
The Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40)
He replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. That is the greatest and first commandment. The second is the same: love your neighbor as yourself. These two commandments are the foundation of all that is in the Law and the Prophets.”
The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20)
“So go on and make all nations my disciples, by baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to abide by all that I have commanded you. And keep this in mind: I am with you, every day, until the completion of this world.”
